For Those Wishing to Enable Return

This part of Routes to Return aims to provide an ever-growing resource for those looking to enable returns to Indigenous Nations and Communities around the world. Whether you work for an institution that holds ancestors and belongings, you’re a researcher, or you are just interested in finding out more about repatriation, then this part of the website will hopefully provide a useful starting point.

If there is anything you would like to see added to this resource, or you have something to contribute to help others then please get in touch.

Understanding International Contexts

When working on repatriation, it can be useful to educate oneself on the context of the Nations and Communities you’re working with. This resource is aimed at providing an overview of the context in different countries that affect how Nations, Communities, and institutions approach international repatriation.

This is a new part of Routes to Return, so more countries will be added soon.

Australia

International Repatriation Network

The International Repatriation Network seeks to bring together community members, practitioners, and academics working on repatriation, to focus on building momentum and a community of practice. Anyone working on repatriation is welcome to join, and it can be a useful place to start if you’re looking to connect with a particular Nation or community.
