International Repatriation Network

The International Repatriation Network seeks to bring together community members, practitioners, and academics working on repatriation, to focus on building momentum and a community of practice. The network aims to be a very practice-based space where we can support people all over the world to connect in order to enable more Ancestors and belongings to return home.

Currently, we hold regular formal meetings with speakers, and informal meetings where we invite people to share what they are working on, contacts they are looking to find, or anything else they would like to discuss. We also have a mailing list.

The Network was founded by Routes to Return Founder Amy Shakespeare and Dr Lucas da Costa Maciel.

Members Directory

The Network has created an online Members Director where you can view members of the network, their contact details, and their areas of interest, where they might be able to help, or who they’re looking to work with.

Network Resources

Network members contribute to a resources page – sharing case studies, opinion pieces, and articles that they have written and/or think might be useful for those working on repatriation.
